Blue Jays vs. Orioles Pick
Will the Baltimore Orioles be able to snap out of their funk today when they host the Toronto Blue Jays at 7:05PM ET?
Wednesday, April 11, 2018
Location: Oriole Park at Camden Yards – Baltimore, Maryland
Weather: Sunny, 55 degrees, 6mph Winds
Time: 7:05PM ET
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Orioles are favored slightly today, as they are getting odds of -115 to win. The Blue Jays are listed with a money line of +105 to prevail. The over/under total is currently listed at 9 runs.
The pitching matchup for today has Marco Estrada on the mound for the Blue Jays to face Kevin Gausman of the Orioles. Estrada is 1-0 through two starts. He has pitched 13 innings and allowed four runs on nine hits with nine strikeouts and four walks. Gausman is 0-1 through two starts. He has allowed eight runs over nine innings with three walks and eight strikeouts.
PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
The public is backing the Blue Jays today. Toronto is getting 55 percent of the wagers for this game as the road underdog against the Orioles.
Baltimore has left fielder Colby Rasmus on injury report currently as he is on the 10-day DL with a hip flexor strain. The team is also without Mark Trumbo due to a quad strain. Texas DH Kendrys Morales is now on the 10-day DL due to a hamstring injury.
Toronto has won the first two games in this series, picking up a 7-1 win on Monday and a 2-1 win on Tuesday. Tuesday features a pair of nice starts as Aaron Sanchez pitched eight innings for Toronto. He allowed just one run on three hits with five walks and four strikeouts. Andrew Cashner pitched seven innings for the Orioles and didn’t allow a run. He gave up four hits and three walks with six strikeouts.
Curtis Granderson hit a solo home run in the ninth to lift the Jays to the win. He had two hits to lead the team while Yangervis Solarte and Kevin Pillar each had a pair of hits as well. Baltimore was led by Chance Sisco, who had a RBI double.
I am surprised by these odds. Estrada has been pretty good on the mound and is facing Gausman, who has been a wreck. Toronto also has won the first two in this series as is, yet is the underdog in this game. I don’t see anything on paper that says Toronto shouldn’t be able to win today.
MLB PREDICTIONS: TORONTO BLUE JAYS +105
