PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
The public is backing the Orioles today. Baltimore is getting 56 percent of the wagers for this game as the underdog at home against the Blue Jays.
KEY INJURIES
Baltimore has left fielder Colby Rasmus on injury report currently as he is on the 10-day DL with a hip flexor strain. The team is also without Mark Trumbo due to a quad strain. Texas DH Kendrys Morales is questionable to play tonight due to a hamstring strain. He left last night’s game with the injury.
BETTING STRATEGIES
Toronto opened the series on Monday with a 7-1 win at Baltimore. The Jays never trailed and really blew the game open in the ninth with five runs. Josh Donaldson had a grand slam in the ninth inning for his third homer of the season. Steve Pearce also hit his third home run of the season in the win. J.A. Happ got the win to move to 2-1 on the season. He pitched six innings and allowed one run on five hits with nine strikeouts.
Dylan Bundy pitched seven innings and took the loss, allowing two runs and four hits over seven innings with 10 strikeouts. The lone Baltimore run came on a solo home run from Manny Machado. It was his third long ball of the season. Trey Mancini had three hits in the loss.
Today’s matchup features a pair of pitchers that haven’t looked tremendous thus far, but Cashner has looked a little better. The Blue Jays are off to a good start and are 3-1 on the road, but I will go with the home underdog tonight. The Orioles still have some talent in the lineup and I think they will get better pitching tonight from Cashner. If he can avoid the long ball, Baltimore can get the win.
