PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
The public is backing Chicago today. The White Sox are currently getting 63 percent of the wagers for this game as the underdog against the Rays today.
Tampa Bay first baseman Brad Miller is on the injury report for today’s game. He suffered a groin injury and is now on the disabled list. Chicago has no new injuries to report.
These two opened their series on Monday with Tampa Bay picking up a 5-4 win over Chicago. Chris Archer pitched 5.2 innings and got the win for the Rays. He allowed three earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and three walks. Miguel Gonzalez allowed four runs over 4.1 innings on eight hits to get his second loss.
Joey Wendle homered in the game for the Rays and had a pair of hits while Matt Duffy had two hits and drove in two runs. Mallex Smith had four hits as well for the Rays. Nicky Delmonico had two hits and two RBI on a home run for the White Sox while Leury Garcia had two hits.
Tampa snapped a long losing streak in Monday’s win and Chicago fell to 0-4 at home. The Sox have Fulmer on the mound, who didn’t look too bad in his first start, but wasn’t great. Snell hasn’t been good either, but he has a little more of a history of success to rely on. Chicago’s bats just aren’t getting the job done lately and the pitching isn’t good enough to overcome that.
MLB PREDICTIONS: TAMPA BAY RAYS -115
