The public is backing the Rangers today. Texas is getting 61 percent of the wagers for this game as the underdog against the Blue Jays.
Neither team has anybody new listed on the injury report for today’s game.
These two have split the first two games of the series, with Toronto earning an 8-5 win on Friday and Texas getting a 5-1 victory last night. Mike Minor gave the Rangers the lift on Saturday, pitching six innings while allowing just one run and two hits. He also struck out seven. Marcus Stroman gave up five runs and six hits over 4.2 innings while walking five to take his first loss of the season.
Joey Gallo led the Rangers at the plate by driving in two runs and scoring two runs as well. Elvis Andrus and Jurickson Profar each had a pair of hits for Texas. Steve Pearce drove in the lone Toronto run with a solo home run.
Today I like the Rangers at home. I still trust Cole Hamels to get the job done for his team, especially more than Garcia. Hamels can get strikeouts in important situations while I don’t see Garcia being able to do the same consistently. I think Texas will be able to get to him today.
