OUR PREDICTION
After Ian Happ and Co. rocked Jose Urena yesterday, I have no reason to believe that Chicago’s dangerous lineup won’t feast on Smith today. Smith would still be in the minors had he not been traded from the Yankees but he’s the Marlins’ No. 2 starter. Hendricks should fare well against the Marlins but Miami proved Thursday that it can generate runs. The over is now 11-3-2 in the Marlins’ last 16 games verus a right-handed starter dating back to last year and is 15-5-2 in their last 22 games overall.
FRIDAY MLB PREDICTION: CUBS/MARLINS OVER 8.5
