Nets vs. Lakers Prediction

Nets vs. Lakers NBA Predictions: Is the spread inflated for L.A.? 11/15/16

The Lakers are off to a nice start this season and host the Nets tonight at 10:30PM ET. Is the point spread too high in favor of L.A.?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book, the Lakers are 7-point home favorites versus the Nets while the over/under currently sits at 220.5 points after it opened at 219.

Bet Tonight’s NBA Games

NETS KEY TRENDS: The Nets are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games following a straight up loss and have covered in nine of their last 11 games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous game. They’re also 36-15-1 against the number in their last 52 games versus Pacific teams and have covered in seven of their last 10 games overall. That said, they’re just 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 road games.

LAKERS KEY TRENDS: The Lakers have covered the spread in seven of their last eight home games and are 9-3 at the betting window in their last 12 games overall. They’re also 4-0 against the spread in their last four games following an ATS loss and are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

OUR PREDICTION: The Nets are coming off a 127-95 loss as a 16.5-point underdog against the Clippers but have been largely competitive this season, covering in seven of their first 10 games. They’re also unlikely to turn the ball over 21 times again like they did against the Clippers. The Lakers are off to a nice start under Luke Walton after putting together years of wretched basketball, but this line seems a tad inflated.
