Cardinals vs. Texans Preseason Pick
Will the Cardinals win their first preseason game of 2016 when they visit the Texans this afternoon at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the game this afternoon is currently sitting at a pick'em in Houston. The Texans opened as 1-point home favorites before the line was bet down to a pick'em. As for the total, the number opened at 41.5 before being bet down to 41.
As previously mentioned, the Cardinals are 0-2 in preseason play this year, losing 31-10 as a 2.5-point home favorite versus the Raiders and 19-3 last week in San Diego. Starter Carson Palmer was just 4-for-8 for 37 yards with an interception in the loss to the Chargers, while David Johnson rushed just three times for five yards.
As for the Texans, they won both of their exhibition games in 2016. They beat the 49ers 24-13 in San Francisco as a 3-point underdog and topped the Saints 16-9 in a pick'em last week at home. Brock Osweiler was 12-of-19 passing for 124 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while rookie Will Fuller caught four of eight targets for 73 yards and a touchdown.
OUR PICK: It's time for Bruce Arians' team to turn it on in preparation for the regular season. Today is a dress rehearsal for both teams and Arians isn't going to let his starters go into the regular season without cleaning up some of the mistakes that they've made in the preseason. Look for Palmer and the starters to be sharp and for the Cardinals to win today in the all-important third preseason matchup for NFL teams.
