Grizzlies vs. Suns Prediction
With the Grizzlies fighting for home court advantage in the playoffs, can they avoid a slipup when they visit the Suns tonight at 10:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Memphis is only a 2-point road favorite at Phoenix while the over/under is now sitting at 204.5 points after the number opened at 205. The Grizzlies enter play with a 4-6 record over their last 10 games but are also 6-4 at the betting window in that span, while the Suns are 4-6 overall and 5-5 ATS over their last 10 contests.
This is a matchup of banged-up teams. The Suns have tied a franchise record by playing 23 different players at various points this season, but the Grizzlies have topped that number with 26 different guys suiting up for them. Marc Gasol is out for the year, Mike Conley is injured as well, and backup point guard Mario Chalmers will miss the rest of the season also.
For whatever reason, the Suns have played the Grizzlies tough. They’re a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four games versus Memphis and have covered four of their last five games versus Southwest opponents. When these two teams met on March 6, the Suns topped the Grizzlies 109-100 in Memphis as a 9.5-point underdog. They also beat the Grizzlies 111-106 back in February as a 6.5-point home underdog.
It’s difficult to beat a team three times in one season but the Suns seemingly have the Grizzlies’ number.
