PGA Championship Picks
KOHLER, WI (ATSConsultants) – The 2015 PGA Championship tees off later today. Here are some golfers we think you should wager on for golf’s final major of 2015.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is an 11/2 favorite to win this weekend’s event while Rory McIlroy has 9/1 odds and Dustin Johnson comes in at 12/1 to win. The PGA Championship takes place Aug. 13-16 from Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.
Jason Day comes in with 14/1 odds this weekend and we think he is due to finally claim his first major. Day has been in contention in the last two majors and dealt with vertigo in the U.S. Open while falling one shot out of a playoff at the British Open. He has two wins this year and has finished 12th or better in his last four events. He is on a hot streak that should continue this weekend.
Bubba Watson is another golfer with 14/1 odds that we like. Watson finished second in this tournament back in 2010, the last time it was at Whistling Straits, which was his best showing in a major outside of his two Masters victories. Bubba has five top-3 finishes on the year and has finished second the last two tournament he has played in. Look for him to continue his strong play at Whistling Straits.
Brooks Koepka is a dark horse at 40/1 this weekend. This is just his third PGA Championship, but he has finished in the top 20 in four of the last six majors, including a 15th-place event in last year’s PGA Championship. He is also on a nice run, as he has finished in the top 25 in six straight events with three top 10s. Koepka seems like a strong play with good odds this weekend.
