WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Odds
Many of the best golfers in the world meet up this weekend for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Here is a look at the odds to win this tournament.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Jordan Spieth is favored with 7/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (9/1), Rory McIlory (9/1) and Rickie Fowler (14/1). The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational takes place Thursday-Sunday from Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
Spieth has not won this tournament, but he did finish third last year. Spieth is up to second in the world rankings after winning his last two tournaments, including The Open Championship. He has three wins on the year with seven top-10 finishes.
Johnson won this event back in 2016. He comes into this week still No. 1 in the world rankings, but he hasn’t been at his best in a while. He finished eighth last week in a light Canadian Open field and was 54th at the British Open after missing two straight cuts prior to that. He still has three wins this year with eight top-10 finishes.
McIlroy won this tournament back in 2014. He is currently fourth in the world rankings and coming off a fourth-place finish at The Open Championship, but still has yet to win this year in 11 attempts. McIlroy has five top-10 finishes on the year.
Fowler has not won this tournament, but did finish second in 2011 and 10th last year. Fowler is now 11th in the world rankings. He has one win this year with seven top-10 finishes.
