McIlroy shot a 5-under 66 on Friday to get to 11-under for the tournament, six shots ahead of Y.E. Yang. McIlroy actually was 13-under at one point, but he posted a double bogey on the final hole of his round.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog, McIlroy is the overwhelming favorite to win the U.S. Open with odds of 1/4 while Yang has 35/4 odds and Matt Kuchar has 20/1 odds to win.
