Shell Houston Open Odds
HUMBLE, TX (TheSpread) – There is just one week of PGA action before The Masters. Here is a look at the odds for the final tune-up, which is the Shell Houston Open.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is the favorite in this week’s tournament, as he has 7/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jimmy Walker (11/1), Matt Kuchar (14/1) and Patrick Reed (14/1). This event will be held April 2-5 from the Golf Club of Houston.
Spieth is fourth in the world rankings and he is coming off a runner-up finish last week. He has been very strong for some time, finishing in the top 5 in six of his last 10 events with three wins in that span.
Walker is 10th in the world rankings. He already has two wins this year, including last week’s Valero Texas Open. He finished 24th in this tournament a year ago.
Kuchar is 14th in the world rankings, but he has finished outside the top 10 in four straight tournaments. Kuchar was second in this tournament a year ago.
Reed is 15th in the world rankings. He is coming off a runner-up finish in the Valspar Championship in his last outing and he also has a win this year to his credit. He didn’t compete in this event last year.
