UFC 137 Weigh In Results
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The weigh-ins for UFC 137 have concluded and all of the main card fighters made weight for Saturday’s event.
UFC 137 takes place from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and will air live on Pay-Per-View at 9PM ET with the main event featuring a clash between two top welterweights with B.J. Penn taking on Nick Diaz.
According to oddsmakers, Penn is the favorite to win this contest with a money line of -125, while Diaz comes into the bout with odds of -105. At Friday’s weigh-ins, Diaz came in at the 170-pound weight limit while Penn weighed in at 169 pounds. Following the weigh in the two had up close and personal moment, as they butted heads in the stare down. The two had to be separated and that added to the intensity of Saturday’s contest.
In the co-main event, heavyweights Matt Mitrione and Cheick Kongo will face off. Mitrione tipped the scales at 255 pounds while Kongo weighed in at 234 pounds. Their stare down lacked the intensity of the main event, but still had an underlying tenseness about it. Mitrione comes into the fight as the favorite with odds of -140, while Kongo has a money line of +110.
