UFC 148 takes place Saturday night and the main card will air live on Pay-Per-View at 10PM ET. The event takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Belo Las Vegas, Nevada. Preliminary bouts will air live on FX at approximately 8PM ET. The main event of Saturday’s card is for the UFC Middleweight Championship, as Anderson Silva (31-4) defends his title against Chael Sonnen (27-11-1).

According to the oddsmakers, Silva is the favorite to defend the title, as he has odds of -275 to win, while Sonnen comes in with odds of +215 to prevail. Sonnen weighed in at the 185-pound limit for this contest while Silva came in at 184 pounds. Silva got right in Sonnen’s face, spewed a few words, and then gave the challenger a little shoulder bump that forced security to step in. Sonnen has come closer to beating Silva than any other UFC fighter and Silva is expressing a lot of anger toward Sonnen heading into the bout. Sonnen is staying cool and confident, which could lead to trouble for Silva.

In the co-main event, light heavyweights Forrest Griffin (18-7) and Tito Ortiz (16-10-1) meet up for the third and final time in Ortiz’ retirement bout. According to oddsmakers, Griffin is favored to win this rubber match, as he has odds of -310 to prevail, while Ortiz has a money line of +250 to win. Both men weighed in at 204 pounds for this 205-pound bout. The two had an intense stare down following the weigh in. They have a lot of history together and Ortiz certainly wants to go out on a win while Griffin wants to stay among the top 10 in the division.
