Klitschko decisions Haye
HAMBURG, Germany (TheSpread) – Wladimir Klitschko wasn’t overly impressive, but he did enough to out-point David Haye and win Saturday’s Heavyweight Boxing Unification Bout by decision.
After struggling with the movement and quickness of Haye in the early rounds, Klitschko began to settle in and Haye was very apprehensive to throw punches. The lack of action from Haye combined with a few combinations from Klitscko gave the Russian the victory and the five heavyweight championships.
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Bodog, Klitschko had a betting line of -260 coming into the fight, meaning a wager of $260 on Klitscko will pay out an additional $100. Klitschko won the bout 117-109, 118-108, and 116-110 on the scorecards.
Klitschko now improves to 56-3-0 in his career and still has 49 wins by knockout. Haye now drops to 25-2-0 in his career with 23 wins coming by knockout. Klitschko is now the owner of the WBO, IBF, IBO, WBA, and The Ring heavyweight championships.
