UFC 132 takes place Saturday night and the main card will air live on Pay-Per-View at 9PM ET. There will be two prelims that air live on Spike TV starting at 8PM ET. The event takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The main event is a bantamweight championship bout between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber. According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Bodog Cruz, the champion, is favored with odds of -155 while Faber has odds of +125. Faber (25-4) actually owns a submission win over Cruz (17-1) back in 2007. Since then, Cruz hasn’t lost and has dominated the 135-pound division. Faber is a former 145-pound champion that needs to win to stay relevant in the spotlight of MMA.
The co-main event for Saturday’s card is a middleweight clash between strikers Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben. Silva enters the contest as the favorite with odds of -180 while Leben has odds of +150. Silva (33-10) is just 2-5 in his last seven fights and he hasn’t competed in over a year. Still, he is a very powerful striker and relentless in his pursuit of his opponents. Leben (25-7) is coming off a loss, but he is known for being very tough to knockout. He has a good chin and a lot of heart. He also packs a lot of power in his punches, but isn’t the most technical striker.
