Mayweather Jr. comes into this bout with a 43-0 record. 26 of his 43 wins have come by knockout. This is Mayweather Jr.’s first bout in nearly a year after spending time in jail following his last bout, a decision win over Miguel Cotto. Mayweather has seen seven of his last nine bouts end in decision, but that is more his style. Mayweather likes to counter punch and use his speed and quickness to out-point his opponent and slowly tire them out over a 12-round fight.
Guerrero is 31-1-1 with 2 no contests in his career. He is currently on an eight-fight winning streak with his last five wins coming by decision. This is clearly the biggest of Guerrero’s career, as he has not fought someone of this caliber or on this big of a stage. Guerrero has been more active as of late, fighting twice in the last 12 months. Guerrero will probably have to be the aggressor to win and have the gas tank to go hard for 12 rounds.
