Rousey vs. Zingano Odds
LOS ANGELES, CA (The Spread) – The top female fighter in the world returns to action on Saturday night as Ronda Rousey defends her UFC Women’s Bantamweight title in the main event of UFC 184.
Rousey (10-0) will be facing No. 1 contender and undefeated Cat Zingano (9-0) on Saturday night in a battle of unbeaten fighters. Rousey is a perfect 4-0 in the UFC with four stoppage victories. She is coming off a pair TKO victories in under 70 seconds in 2014. Zingano is 2-0 in the UFC with a pair of third-round TKO victories. She missed nearly a year of action with an injury before returning last September and scoring a TKO over Amanda Nunes.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Rousey is the overwhelming favorite to retain her championship on Saturday, as she is getting odds of -800 to win this fight. Zingano has been given a money line of +500 to win the bout. This fight is the main event of UFC 184, which will be held from the Staples Center. The fight will air live on PPV at 10PM ET.
This could be Rousey’s toughest fight to date, as Zingano is a very strong fighter with big striking power. The key for the challenger will be avoiding Rousey’s tremendous judo ability, but there may be no avoiding that. Zingano tends to press forward and get into clinches, but that would be playing into Rousey’s hands. If Rousey gets Zingano on the ground and gets a hold of an arm, the fight is likely to be over quickly.
