UFC 144 will have its main card air live on PPV at 10PM ET. The bouts will be held in the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Preliminary bouts air live on FX starting at 8PM ET.

UFC Lightweight Championship Bout – Frankie Edgar (14-1-1) vs. Ben Henderson (15-2).

This should be a very competitive fight. Henderson is a strong grappler and submission fighter while Edgar is a quick striker with explosive takedowns. Both men have frequently fought five-round fights and have the conditioning to push a fast pace. Ultimately, I see Edgar being able to retain by decision as he has fought superior competition. I think Edgar will win the striking and be able to throw in some takedowns of Henderson to earn the win on the judges’ scorecards. FREE PICK – Frankie Edgar -130

UFC Light Heavyweight Bout – Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (32-9) vs. Ryan Bader (13-2)

This is a big fight for Jackson as he was a veteran of PRIDE and is getting a chance to fight in Japan again. Bader is getting a big opportunity, but I don’t see this going well for him. Bader relies on his wrestling to win tough fights, but Jackson has great takedown defense. Jackson should be able to land a big hook that will end this fight, and I see that happening in the second round. FREE PICK – Quinton “Rampage” Jackson -245

UFC Lightweight Bout – Anthony Pettis (14-2) vs. Joe Lauzon (21-6)

I like Pettis in this one as Lauzon has a very clear style. He usually comes out like a house of fire and wins in the first round or gasses and loses in the second. Pettis is very good at avoiding damage and has an active guard from the bottom. I see Pettis surviving the early storm and then peppering Lauzon with some kicks in the second round before winning by choke. FREE PICK – Anthony Pettis -275
