Bet on Pacquiao vs. Broner Odds

Manny Pacquiao

Pac-Man comes into this fight with a 60-7-2 record with 39 wins by knockout. His last fight was last July, a seventh-round TKO win over Lucas Matthysse. Prior to that he suffered a decision loss to Jeff Horn in July of 2017. Still known for his speed and power combination, Pacquiao got his first KO since December of 2012 with the win over Matthysse. Now 40, one has to question if his speed and power are still going to translate going into this fight. They showed up in his last one.

Adrien Broner

Broner comes into this fight with a 33-3-1 record with 1 no contest. He has earned 24 KO’s in his career and only lost by decision. Broner suffered a draw against Jessie Vargas back on April 21 of last year and prior to that he suffered a decision loss to Mikey Garcia in July of 2017. His last win came in February of 2017 and his last KO was in April of 2016. Broner has been able to overwhelm a lot of opponents, but has struggled with opponents that he can’t bully.

Broner hasn’t really had a career that pops out, especially compared to Pacquiao. While being 11 years younger than his opponent, Broner still doesn’t have the key experience needed for this bout. Pacquiao has fought the biggest of the big and this fight won’t rattle him at all. The same can’t be said from Broner. He is likely to feel things he never has before approaching the bout. I expect him to try and come out fast, but Pac-Man should be able to weather the storm and impose his will in the second half of the fight. I think he can finish Broner, but Broner has yet to be stopped.

Boxing Prediction: Manny Pacquiao -340
