CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – With Aaron Rodgers set to start for the Packers on Sunday, Green Bay is now listed as the favorite versus Chicago in Week 17.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Packers are 3-point road favorites versus the Bears for the teams’ NFC North title matchup at 4:25PM ET on Sunday. The winner will claim the division and host a playoff game next week, while the loser will be sent to their couches for the postseason. The total is currently sitting at 53 points.
Oddsmakers waited to release the line until the Packers announced their starter on Thursday. When the team stated that Rodgers, who had been recovering with a broken collarbone for the past six weeks would start, Green Bay instantly became the favorite.
The Packers are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven versus NFC opponents, 1-7 ATS in their last eight games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six following an ATS loss. They are, however, 12-4 against the number in their last 16 games versus divisional opponents and 16-7 ATS in their last 23 games versus a team with a winning record.
The Bears, meanwhile, are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games in December and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games versus NFC opponents. The Pack is also 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings between these two teams and 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Chicago.
