WASHINGTON, D.C. (TheSpread) – The Washington Redskins have made a surprising decision on Friday as head coach Mike Shanahan has decided to go with Rex Grossman as the starting quarterback of the Redskins for Sunday’s game with the Dallas Cowboys.
Grossman will get the start over Donovan McNabb, who has seemingly been in the dog house of Shanahan for most of the season. McNabb has thrown for 3,377 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year with 15 interceptions.
Not only will McNabb not start, but following Sunday’s game, he will be third on the depth chart behind John Beck as well. Grossman has appeared in just two games this season and is 4-of-7 passing for 44 yards.
According to NFL Week 15 odds and oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Cowboys are a 7-point favorite at home against the Redskins.
