It doesn't appear as though the Patriots will have their key weapon on offense back against the Texans on Sunday Night Football this weekend.
While making an appearance on NFL Live on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter called Rob Gronkowski "unlikely" to return in Week 14 when New England visits Houston. Gronkowski injured his knee in a loss two weeks ago in Denver and sat out of the Patriots' loss to the Eagles last Sunday in Foxboro.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBets.eu, the Patriots are 3-point road favorites versus the Texans for Sunday night's 8:30PM ET kickoff. The over/under total for the matchup is sitting at 45 points.
Houston did open as a 3.5-point home dog but it makes you wonder how much Gronkowski's health affected the line. No, he's not a quarterback. But with the way Tom Brady has performed at times without Gronk, oddsmakers are well aware of the impact that Gronkowski has on the Patriots' scoring ability.
