The Washington Redskins have suspended defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth without pay for the final 4 games of the NFL Season due to conduct detrimental to the club.
The suspension is coming off Sunday’s 31-7 loss to the New York Giants where Haynesworth was inactive due to reports that he was hungover and not in shape to play.
The Redskins have been battling with Haynesworth all season since bringing in Mike Shanahan as coach. Haynesworth skipped offseason workout and didn’t appear for a mandatory minicamp and also needed multiple days to pass a conditioning test during training camp.
This certainly appears to be an addition by subtraction situation for the Redskins as they have grown tired of his antics. This week, the Redskins take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home.
According to NFL Week 14 odds and oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Buccaneers are a 3-point favorite at home against the Redskins.
