Ben Roethlisberger will have surgery to repair his broken nose, but will play against the Bengals in Week 14 according to reports.
Roethlisberger suffered the injury during Sunday night’s Steelers–Ravens game, which was won by Pittsburgh, 13-10. Big Ben’s nose got crumbled like a tin can by Haloti Ngata in the first quarter, but he went on to complete 22-of-29 passes for 253 yards and a touchdown with one interception.
Of course, he wasn’t always perfect and the fact that he didn’t have a running game (or protection) for most of the night didn’t help. But he was clutch in the fourth quarter and seeing as how he was playing on a broken foot and with a broken nose, he was awfully impressive.
His biggest play came when he somehow shook off Terrell Suggs (who was unbelievable the entire night) to avoid a sack and throw the ball away. Two plays later, he found Isaac Redman for the go-ahead touchdown.
According to NFL Week 13 odds and oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Steelers were 3-point underdogs against the Ravens on Sunday night. They covered outright.
