LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - After surviving Auburn and the Iron Bowl on Saturday night, Alabama remains the favorite tow in the FBS Championship this year.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Crimson Tide have 17/10 odds to win the inaugural FBS Championship, making 'Bama the favorite to win this season's title. The Tide trailed 26-21 at halftime of the Iron Bowl on Saturday night and fell behind 34-21 early in the third quarter but rebounded to win 55-44 and cover as 9.5-point home favorites.
Continuing with the odds, Oregon is 5/2 to win this year's FBS Championship after routing Pac-12 and in-state rival Oregon State 47-19 on Saturday night. The Ducks will now seek revenge against the only team to beat them this year, the Arizona Wildcats, this Friday in the Pac-12 title game. Oregon is a 13.5-point favorite for that game.
After Mississippi State lost to Ole Miss on Saturday, TCU is now in the driver's seat to be one of the four playoff teams in college football this year. The Horned Frogs, who crushed Texas on Thanksgiving night, are now 5/1 to win the FBS Championship. Assuming they can beat lowly Iowa State this weekend, TCU should be among the top four next week.
Florida State, meanwhile, is 13/2 to win the FBS Championship and will put its undefeated record on the line this weekend in the ACC title game versus Georgia Tech, which is 40/1 to win the FBS title. Baylor is also 9/1 to win the FBS title while Ohio State is 12/1 and Missouri is 28/1. The Tigers will meet Alabama in the SEC title game on Saturday.
Wisconsin, which will take on Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game this weekend, is 33/1 to win the FBS Championship while Arizona and Kansas State are both 50/1, respectively.
