Public Betting: Of the 10,000-plus wagers on today’s game, 80% of college football public bettors currently favor Houston. College Football Free Pick: Take the Cougars. There’s always value in home dogs and Tulsa certainly has enough weapons on offense to knock off Houston and ruin its perfect season. That said, according to latest college football trends, the Cougars are 6-0 against the spread in their last six conference games and 6-0 ATS in their last six games as a favorite. Like most defenses in the Conference USA, the Golden Hurricane has a tough time stopping the pass and Case Keenum shouldn’t have much trouble moving the ball up and down the field. Tulsa ranks 102nd in the nation in yards allowed so assuming the Cougar offense is firing on all cylinders, Houston should win outright. And if you like Houston to win outright, you should have no problem laying the 2.5.
