According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Massachusetts is a 3-point home favorite over Ball State for tonight’s 8:00PM ET matchup while the over/under total for this game is sitting at 64.5 points. The Minutemen opened as 3-point favorites and that’s where the line currently sits although the line is moving up at some books, which have the line at 3.5.

The Cardinals enter play with a 3-6 record and are just 4-5 against the spread while the under is 6-3 in their nine games in 2014. As for the Minutemen, they’re just 2-7 straight up but they’re a highly profitable 7-2 against the spread, while the over is 6-2-1 in their nine games this season.

As previously mentioned, the trends favor Massachusetts in tonight’s matchup. They’re 5-0 against the spread in their last five conference games, 5-0 ATS in their last five games versus a team with a losing record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games following an ATS win. On the other side, the Cardinals are 1-4 against the number in their last five Wednesday games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games in November and 1-5 ATS in their last six games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous contest.
