We’re down to two teams left in the National League and oddsmakers have drawn up the series prices for the 2010 NLCS. Read on to check out what kind of odds they’re giving for the San Francisco Giants and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Phillies –260 on the money line to beat the Giants in the best-of-seven series, which starts on Saturday. San Francisco, which won the NL West on the final day of the regular season, is +200 on the money line.
The Phillies swept the Reds in the NLDS in impressive fashion. Roy Halladay threw a no-hitter in Game 1 of the series and then Cole Hamels threw a shutout to eliminated Cincinnati in Game 3.
The Giants had a more difficult time with the Braves, but they managed to split in San Francisco and then took two games in Atlanta. Every game was decided by one run and in Games 3 and 4 the Giants had to come-from-behind to win.
The NLCS will feature some of the best pitching in all of baseball, as the Phillies’ top 3 starters are Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Hamels. The Giants’ boast some of the top young arms in the game in Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Jonathan Sanchez and Madison Bumgarner, who is just a rookie
