While the Miami Dolphins await test results on injured quarterback Chad Pennington, teammates are braced for the possibility he won't be back soon.
Bet NFL Week 4
Pennington underwent tests Monday his right shoulder, which he hurt early in the third quarter of Sunday's 23-13 loss at San Diego. He missed the rest of the game, and coach Tony Sparano says he doesn't know how long Pennington will be sidelined.
Sparano says a return this week is possible. The winless Dolphins play host to Buffalo on Sunday.
Miami dropped to 0-3 on the season and without Pennington, they’ll be forced to start inexperienced backup Chad Henne on Sunday. And if Pennington’s injury is a tear, it could threaten his career given that he’s already had arm and shoulder injuries in the past
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction currently list the Dolphins at 80/1 to win Super Bowl XLIV and 40/1 to win the AFC.
