Coach Tom Cable said after practice Monday there were still issues that needed to be worked out between Seymour and the Patriots before the deal could be finalized. Cable said he has talked to Seymour since the deal was announced Sunday and Seymour told him he wants to play for the Raiders.
Patriots spokesman Stacey James said he was unaware of any difficulties surrounding the trade of Seymour for a first-round pick in the 2011 draft.
Even after adding the talented Seymour to their roster, the Raiders are still long shots to win Super Bowl XLIV according to oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Oakland is currently 90/1 to win the 2010 Super Bowl and 45/1 to win the AFC Championship
