Before completing 13-of-18 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown in the Minnesota Vikings’ 17-10 win over the Houston Texas on Monday night, quarterback Brett Favre told the media that he believes that he may have a cracked rib.
Favre says he’s experiencing discomfort when he breathes deeply and therefore might have a cracked rib. He’s also playing with a partially torn rotator cuff, so there’s a chance that he won’t stay healthy for the entire 2009 season.
The Vikings signed Favre to a two-year deal last week and immediately made him the starter ahead of Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson, even though Brett missed all of the team’s OTA sessions and most of training camp.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Vikings’ odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl 16/1 and their NFC Championship odds 6/1.
