ATHLENS, GA (The Spread) – Aaron Murray is ready for a breakout campaign for the Georgia Bulldogs and he should contend for the 2012 Heisman Trophy this season.
Murray is 4/1 to win the Heisman Trophy this year, while USC quarterback Matt Barkley is the favorite at 4/7. Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson and Wisconsin running back Montee Ball are 3/2, respectively, while Oklahoma signal caller Landry Jones is 2/1. West Virginia QB Geno Smith is 5/2 to win the 2012 Heisman.
Who will have more passing yards in the SEC among Murray, Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron and Arkansas signal caller Tyler Wilson? Wilson is the favorite at -150 on the money line, while Murray is +120 and McCarron is the “long shot” at +200.

Who will have more passing touchdowns among that same group? Wilson is once again the favorite at -115 on the money line, while Murray is EVEN and McCarron is +175.
For sake of reference, Murray threw for 3,149 yards and 35 touchdowns with 14 interceptions. Meanwhile, McCarron threw for 2,634 yards and 16 touchdowns with five interceptions and Wilson threw for 3,638 yards and 24 touchdowns with six interceptions for the Razorbacks in 2011.
