The Buffalo Bills have finally agreed to a deal with their first round pick, signing defensive end Aaron Maybin to a five-year contract that also includes $15 million in guarantees.
The deal was reached exactly four weeks after Bills players reported to training camp, and a week after the two sides had reached an impasse, causing concern that Maybin might not arrive soon enough to be ready for Buffalo's regular-season opener at New England on Sept. 14. his teammates in the locker room before they left for Green Bay for a preseason game on Saturday. Maybin didn't make the trip and will report to practice on Monday.
Maybin will have missed 24 practices and three preseason games since training camp opened July 25. The Bills have two preseason games left: At Pittsburgh on Aug. 29 and at home against Detroit on Sept. 3.
