One of the big NFL rumors that circulated the web on Thursday was that the Buffalo Bills were interested in signing free agent quarterback Michael Vick. One rumor even had the Bills calling an afternoon press conference to announce the signing.
But the Bills addressed the issue and squashed the rumor, saying that no press conference had been called and that they’re not pursuing Vick at this time. Buffalo appears set at quarterback with Trent Edwards as their starting signal caller and Ryan Fitzpatrick as the backup.
Rumors persist about where Vick will wind up, although nothing has been confirmed. Several teams, including the 49ers, Seahawks, Bengals and now, the Bills, have denied having any interest in the troubled former star. Although that doesn’t mean that any of those teams won’t pull the trigger sometime down the line.
The Bills are currently 50/1 to win the 2010 Super Bowl and 25/1 to win the AFC Championship according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com.
