(The Spread) - The latest 2013 American League MVP odds are out and Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers remains the favorite.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Cabrera is a 1/5 favorite to win the AL MVP award in 2013. Chris Davis of the Orioles and Mike Trout of the Angels are both 5/1, respectively, to win.

Cabrera leads the league in batting average with a mark of .359, while Trout is second in the American League with an average of .333. Davis, meanwhile, leads the league with 41 home runs while Cabrera is second in all of baseball with 33 long balls.

Cabrera won the American League MVP a year ago when he won baseball's Triple Crown. His current teammate Justin Verlander won the award in 2011, while Josh Hamilton won in 2010 with the Rangers and Joe Mauer won in 2009 while catching for the Twins. Dustin Pedroia (Red Sox), Alex Rodriguez (Yankees), and Justin Morneau (Twins) were the previous winners.
