Orlando Magic forward Rashard Lewis will be suspended for the first 10 games of the 2009-2010 NBA season after testing positive for the steroid DHEA.
Lewis’s positive test result can be attributed to his ingestion of a nutritional supplement that contained the drug. Lewis said he was unaware that the supplement contained DHEA.
He apologized to fans and teammates ``for not doing the research that should come with good judgment.'' The 29-year-old Lewis averaged 19.0 points in the playoffs to help lead the Magic to the NBA finals.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL currently have the Magic listed at 20/1 to win the 2010 NBA Championship.
