According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dodgers’ 2013 World Series odds are up to 15/2 after they were 9/1 last week. Their odds to win the National League pennant this season are also up slightly, going from 7/2 to 17/4.
On the flip side, the Diamondbacks have played .500 ball over their last 10 games and they’ve watched their lead in the National League West evaporate. Sitting at a half game behind L.A. in the standings heading into Wednesday’s action, Arizona is now 25/1 to win the World Series after they were 20/1 last week. They’re also now 12/1 to win the NL pennant after they were 10/1 a week ago.
In the American League East, the Orioles’ odds have gone from 18/1 down to 14/1 to win the World Series, and 10/1 down to 8/1 to win the American League pennant. The Rays’ odds have also improved, going from 16/1 down to 10/1 to win the World Series and 15/2 down to 5/1 to win the American League pennant. The Yankees’ odds are heading in the opposite direction, as they’re now 33/1 to win the World Series after they were 28/1 last week, and 16/1 to win the AL pennant after they were 14/1 a week ago.
Believe it or not, the biggest change in odds this week is the Mariners, who went from 500/1 long shots down to 200/1 to win the World Series following their current eight-game winning streak. They’re also now 125/1 to win the American League pennant after they were 200/1 last week.
