(The Spread) – Regis Philbin announced his plan to retire back in January and now oddsmakers have compiled entertainment prop odds for his replacement on Live with Regis and Kelly.

Philbin, 79, was originally planning to step down in June but extended his final season until November. Until then, the show will look for his replacement and several candidates have emerged.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made Kelly Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos the favorite to replace Regis at 1/1 odds. Andy Cohen, the host of the late-night show Watch What Happens: Live, is 3/2 to replace Regis, while Ryan Seacrest (the host of American Idol) is 7/1 and Jeff Probst (host of Survivor) is 10/1. A wager on “Other” would net bettors 5/2 odds.
Even though Consuelos would seemingly be a perfect match with his wife Ripa, he doesn’t have much experience as a TV personality. He has been a guest co-anchor on Live before, but that’s essentially where his experience starts and ends.
If he doesn’t have enough jobs already, Seacrest makes a lot of sense given his experience on both TV and radio. He also has connections in Hollywood that could potentially bring big names to the set of Live and possibly expand its audience.
Who will replace Regis as full time co-host with Kelly?
Mark Consuelos 1/1
Andy Cohen 3/2
Ryan Seacrest 7/1
Jeff Probst 10/1
Other 5/2
