After pleading guilty to a DUI manslaughter charge on Wednesday, the NFL suspended Cleveland Browns receiver Donte Stallworth indefinitely.
Earlier this year, Stallworth hit a pedestrian with his car in Miami and killed him. He was found to have a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, but he was able to strike a plea deal with the victim’s family and avoid major jail time. He’ll now serve less than 30 days in prison for the charge.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will meet with Stallworth and his representatives to determine the length of his suspension. While the official suspension length has yet to be determined, it would be surprising if Stallworth played next season.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have made the Browns 70/1 long shots to win Super Bowl XLIV.
