Owner(s): Bertram Klein – Elaine Klein – Richard Klein

Trainer: Steve Margolis

Jockey: Jamie Theriot

Post Position: No. 10

Updated Odds:

Stay Put opened as a 25/1 long shot, but his odds have since improved to 18/1 according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction.

Recent Race History:

Stay Put is coming off a victory at an Allowance on May 1, but finished fifth in his two previous outings, which included the G2 Risen Star on February 20 and the G2 Louisiana Derby on March 27.

Betting Analysis:

Say this for Stay Put: he’s consistent. He really hasn’t run poorly in any of his seven career starts and he’s improved in each of his races, despite finishing fifth in back to back outings in February and March earlier this year. That said, he’s not a spectacular horse in any way. If the pace is legit, he won’t be near the front, so he essentially needs some luck. There’s a small chance he could finish in the money, but we wouldn’t count on it. And we think there’s even less of a chance he pulls out a victory today.
