Stay Put Info:

Owner(s): Bertram Klein – Elaine Klein – Richard Klein

Trainer: Steve Margolis

Jockey: Jamie Theriot

Bred: Kentucky (USA)

Pedigree: Broken Vow – O.K. Mom by Dixieland Band

Opening Odds:

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com established Stay Put as a 25/1 long shot when the odds were released for the Belmont Stakes earlier this week. But his odds have since improved to 20/1.

Post Position:

Stay Put drew the No. 10 post when the positions were drawn on Wednesday. The No. 10 post has two Belmont Stakes wins, which is one of the positions that has won the fewest races. The rail position, for example, has won 23 Belmont Stakes races.

Overview:

The 3-year-old colt won an Allowance on May 1, but he struggled in his two previous races. He finished fifth at the G2 Risen Star on February 20 and fifth at the G2 Louisiana Derby on March 27. Jamie Theriot will mount Stay Put this weekend and a win this weekend at Belmont Park would go far for the duo. Both are looking to get on the map, especially Theriot.
