View 2014 World Series Odds
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants’ World Series odds have gone from 14/1 on May 1 down to 7/1 presently. That’s one of the bigger jumps in the National League, although it’s not surprising seeing as how San Francisco has the best odds in MLB at the moment. The Giants are also coming off a great series in St. Louis where they took three of four against the Cardinals.
The Dodgers, meanwhile, have seen their odds drop over the past month. After being listed at 15/2 to win the World Series last month, L.A. is now 8/1 to win the Fall Classic. The Braves’ odds have also slightly dropped from 11/1 to 12/1, while the Nationals’ odds have gone from 11/1 to 14/1. The odds for the Red Sox (14/1 to 16/1), Brewers (14/1 to 16/1), and Yankees (10/1 to 16/1) have also worsened over the past month.
The Giants weren’t the only ones to see their odds improve since May 1, as the Tigers’ odds have gone from 13/2 to 6/1. The A’s odds have also improved from 12/1 to 9/1, while the Cardinals’ odds have jumped from 10/1 to 9/1 and the Blue Jays’ odds have gone from 25/1 to 10/1, which is the best in the American League.
Believe it or not, the Cubs also saw a huge jump in their World Series odds, going from 500/1 to 250/1, while the Diamondbacks saw their odds get even worse, going from 200/1 to 500/1. It won’t be long before Arizona’s odds fall off altogether.
