According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Lindy Ruff is the favorite at 2/1, while Dallas Eakins and Dave Tippett have the next best odds at 5/2, respectively. Scott Arniel and Tom Renney are both 9/1, respectively, while Larry Robinson and Doug Houda are both 12/1, respectively.
Ruff is a retired player and the former head coach of the Buffalo Sabres from 1997 to 2013 when he was fired. He led Buffalo to the Stanley Cup in 1998-99 but missed the playoffs in four of his last six seasons with the Sabres.
