A former two-time runner up of the Indianapolis 500, Vitor Meira is looking to finally jump into the winner’s circle on Sunday.

Bet 2010 Indianapolis 500 Odds

A bit of an IRL journeyman, Meira has never really found his stride in the sport, but that can all change with a win in the 2010 Indy 500.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com currently list Meira at 40/1 to win the 2010 Indy 500. Helio Castroneves, who won the pole on Saturday, is the current favorite at 5/2 and Scott Dixon is 7/2 to win.

Meria finished second in the 2005 and 2008 Indy 500s, but he also started in the top 10 in both of those races. This year, Meira will start 30th and hope to climb his way up the field. It is his worst starting spot in his Indy 500 career. This season, Meira started off well, placing third in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but he has not finished better than 10th in the last four races of the season.

The 2010 Indianapolis 500 will start at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. For more information on the race, check out our 2010 Indy 500 Viewing Guide and for odds, see below.
