The Cleveland Cavaliers are up against the ropes and now face elimination in Game 5 when they take on the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have made the Cavaliers 7.5-point favorites against the Magic in Game 5. The over/under total has been set for 190 for this pivotal matchup.
The Magic have won the last two games to take a commanding three games to one lead in this Eastern Conference Finals. When these two teams met in Cleveland in Game 1 and Game 2, Orlando pulled out a 107-106 victory and followed that performance with a 96-95 loss.
The Magic are an impressive 7-0 against the spread versus the Cavs over the last three seasons. They’re also 13-1 against the number versus Cleveland over the last three seasons while 4 of the past 7 games in this series have gone under the total.
We expect Cleveland to come out firing on all cylinders and don’t expect the Cavs to lose on their home floor. But the 7.5-point spread is surprising given how well Orlando has played Cleveland this entire season. Don’t expect a straight up victory, but a cover should be in order as long as the Magic don’t consider this series in the bag before they’ve actually won it.
Our free pick for this Eastern Conference Finals game is the Magic +6.5.
