Two top-10 finishes were good, but Hideki Mutoh is now eyeing a spot in the winner’s circle in the 2010 Indianapolis 500.

Bet 2010 Indianapolis 500 Odds

Mutoh hasn’t been a strong performer or an entire season, but the young driver has been a force at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and he looks to make a splash this Sunday.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction currently list Mutoh at 30/1 to win the 2010 Indy 500. Helio Castroneves, who won the pole on Saturday, is the current favorite at 5/2 and Scott Dixon is 7/2 to win.

In 2008, Mutoh was the fastest rookie qualifier for the Indy 500, as he started ninth and ultimately finished seventh. Last year, Mutoh landed 10th for his eighth best finish of the season. This year, Mutoh has yet to crack the top 10 in any race, but he will start ninth on Sunday, which gives him a chance to put together a surprising victory.

The 2010 Indianapolis 500 will start at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. For more information on the race, check out our 2010 Indy 500 Viewing Guide and for odds, see below.
