After poor practice and qualifying runs, Patrick criticized her team which earned her a lot of criticism from the fans. Now, starting 23rd on Sunday, Patrick hopes to be the first woman to win the Indy 500.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com currently list Patrick at 30/1 to win the 2010 Indy 500. Helio Castroneves, who won the pole on Saturday, is the current favorite at 5/2 and Scott Dixon is 7/2 to win.

Patrick has competed in five Indianapolis 500 races and finished in the top 8 in four of them. Here debut was a fourth-place finish in 2005 and she followed that up by finishing eighth in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, she fell back to 22nd, but last year, Patrick had her best performance, taking third. Patrick has finished in the top 10 just one time on the year, as she currently sits in 16th place in the IRL standings. Patrick has one career IRL victory in 86 race.
