After two wild games to start the series, the Western Conference Finals move to Denver on Saturday as the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Nuggets. The best of seven series is tied at one game apiece.
After being 6.5-point favorites and 5.5-game favorites in Game 1 and Game 2 respectively, the Lakers find themselves as 3.5-point underdogs heading into Game 3. Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have also made the over/under total 211.
The Lakers are 11-6 against the spread versus the Nuggets over the last three seasons, while six of the last seven games in this series have gone under the total. The Lakers are also 31-21 against the spread vs. Denver since 1996.
Even though the series trends favor the Lakers, the Nuggets have been an outstanding 6-0 against the spread at home in the postseason so far this year. Los Angeles is just 2-3 against the spread on the road this postseason.
While the Lakers stole some of the momentum back in Game 2, the Nuggets have been tough to beat at home this postseason. While Los Angeles will keep things tight, we believe Denver will not only come victorious, but also cover the 3.5-point spread.
Our NBA Eastern Conference Finals Playoff Free Pick for this game is the Nuggets –3.5.
