The Atlanta Hawks look to even up their Eastern Conference semifinals series with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night when the two teams meet at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio for Game 2.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have made the Cavs a whopping 13-point favorite for Game 2 after they shredded the Hawks 99-72 in Game 1 on Monday night.
While looking at the trends on both these teams, the one that stands out the most is that 33 of 48 games in this series have gone over the total since 1996. The Hawks are also 29-21 against the spread versus Cleveland since 1996, while the Cavs are just 3-3 against the spread versus Atlanta over the last three seasons.
Even though the trends favor the Hawks in this game, they have struggled mightily on the road so far this postseason. And although the number is rather high at 13, Cleveland has been on a mission so far and we believe the Cavs will cover the number easily.
Our free pick for this game is the Cleveland Cavaliers –13.
